Details of how it is intended   that the allocation will be spent:
All teachers are aware that we receive extra funding for certain children.  These children are monitored very carefully.  Any interventions required are planned and implemented very quickly.

Allocation is spent   on providing:

  • Provision Maps/Individual Education Plans for all Pupil Premium children.
  • Intervention/Booster groups
  • Regular 1 – 1 weekly feedback sessions, with a teacher, discussing the week’s work and any issues that require attention.  These sessions have measurable objectives set by the class teacher.
  • Termly meetings with parents to discuss progress with the provision map/ Individual Education Plans.
  • Play Therapy
  • Speech and Language Intervention

Money has been earmarked to pay for swimming, school trips and school clubs for all identified children.

School Uniform & Book Bags will be provided if necessary.

Details   of how the previous academic year’s allocation was spent:
Our SENCO  analyses our tracking system which enables her to identify any children falling behind in speaking and listening, reading, writing and mathematics.  This is followed up in Learning Conversations by English and Mathematics Leaders.  Money has  been used, as above to enhance the education for children who are requiring additional input, to reach their potential.  This has proved to be a very successful way of giving  additional support and enabling Pupil Premium children to access educational activities that they may not otherwise have access to.  It is our intention to continue with this practice.
The   effect of this expenditure on the educational attainment of those pupils at the school in respect of whom grant funding was allocated:
The attainment of all children is very closely monitored and interventions are put in place at the earliest opportunity.  The   attainment of most of our vulnerable children compares favourably with local and national statistics.
